PROGRAMME

MeetingPack is divided into two major themes:

SESSION 1: LEGAL AND REGULATORY ISSUES (17 April 2013) | See the programme in detail |

Will present an international perspective regarding future legislation relevant to packaging and containers, new regulations concerning plastics, the legal situation relating to nanomaterials, active packaging and other materials, guidelines on how to resolve the main problems in applying legislation, updates on protocols in food safety, legislation relating to waste management and practical case studies from companies of repute.

The experience and know-how in materials of both ainia and AIMPLAS, together with the success of three previous technical forums, entitled “Plastic packaging for food use” and held under the auspices of AIMPLAS, give an indication of the inherent interest of the subject matter and the high level of its content.

SESSION 2: BARRIER PACKAGING AND PACKAGING SYSTEMS (18-19 April 2013)| See the programme in detail |

Will reveal the latest in barrier materials in relation to the product to be packaged; will deal with the most advanced systems of packaging in terms of both efficiency and extending shelf life. We will reflect upon the most sustainable solutions, cost reduction and waste management and will provide practical information about measuring devices and techniques for evaluating the packaged product and packaging materials.

The detailed knowledge of both ainia and AMPLAS of such matters, together with the warm welcome accorded by the profession to the publication devoted to barrier packaging that was edited and published by ainia, with contributions from more than 40 international experts, is evidence that a need exists for companies to become familiar with and apply the latest advances.
